Print and Broadcast Journalist Wendy Pike (now freelance) is currently using her skills to help local businesses and organisations with PR and publicity.  A seven year stint teaching Journalism at Havering College as a part-time Media Lecturer came to an end in the summer of 2015 – all part of the plan to dedicate more time to meeting the media needs of her growing client list.

In a career spanning more than twenty years at ITV Anglia News, she worked as a Broadcast Journalist based in Essex, covering stories in East Anglia both as a Reporter and a Video Journalist.  For several years Wendy has also worked as a regular freelance Reporter for the Brentwood Gazette.

From interviewing David Cameron to the homeless, lords and ladies to lawbreakers, Wendy loves telling human interest stories and is humbled and astonished by how amazing people can be.  She continues to find tales from real life more fascinating than fiction and has an innate flair for feature writing.

What's A Woozle?

Before she even started primary school, Woozle was the nickname bestowed upon Wendy by her best friend Jo.  If you haven’t heard, Woozles are mythical creatures invented by author A A Milne in his stories about Winnie the Pooh.
